This is the recieving end of the IV that was put into the Human in the first image. Continuing with the story, the Humans can no longer fend for themselves. Robots had been created to help them but the Robots need a form of sustanance to survive themselves and bring them to life. Since humans can't function, the race is slowly being replaced by robots. Human essence is essentially drained and transferred into the Robot to bring them to life. Soon, there will be no more.
